New, simple setup method allows you to set sensitivity and reset displayed values with a single click, whether the device is detecting an object or not.

Multiple detection modes:

Stable Detection of Small Objects
Stable detection of small objects, including transparent objects with adjustable light output. When the light level reaches saturation, the sensor’s light output can be reduced to achieve stable detection, especially in situations such as close-range detection, transparent objects, or small objects.

Equipped with an on-delay function
Equipped with an on-delay function, an off-delay function, and a one-shot timer (timer duration approximately 1ms to 10s).

Adjustable Light Intensity
When detecting objects at close range and the light level reaches saturation, the light intensity adjustment method has been upgraded from the previous level adjustment method to light intensity adjustment, providing more precise and controllable adjustment. Temperature detection is also possible even for objects with high reflectivity.

Reduces Maintenance Time with a Reference Value Tracking Cycle Setting Function
To track long-term fluctuations in light output caused by environmental changes (such as dust), the system can check incident light intensity at arbitrary intervals and automatically reset the reference value. This helps reduce maintenance time.

Window Detection
Upper and lower limit values can be set, and the light intensity within that range can be turned on or off.

Mutual Interference Prevention
The FR-J16 features four independent frequencies. Even when detecting small, close objects, or when sensors are placed side by side in close proximity, they prevent interference and achieve stable detection.

Three Detection Modes
Three detection modes are available: standard detection mode (200μs), long-distance mode (24ms), and high-speed mode (25μs). This allows for detection of small workpieces moving at high speeds.

Simple two-point instruction
Simply press the SET button once with and once without a target to complete the setup.

Fully Automatic Teaching
Fully automatic teaching allows you to set reference values even while the workpiece is moving without stopping the assembly line.

Three timer types are available.
Equipped with on-delay, off-delay, and one-shot timers. (Timer durations range from approximately 1ms to 10s).

Digital Display Inversion Setting
The digital display can be reversed based on the amplifier’s mounting orientation, making it easier to view from different mounting angles.

Power Savings
After setting, any key operation within approximately 20 seconds will cause the digital display to go dark, reducing power consumption to approximately 600mW (720mW when illuminated).
